Storage Basics
Keep your bottle upright, capped tightly, and away from direct sunlight. A closed drawer, cabinet, or dedicated fragrance box is ideal — bathrooms are the least forgiving place, as humidity and temperature swing constantly.
Avoid storing near an open window, air-conditioning vent, or anywhere temperature shifts throughout the day.
Heat & Climate
In the UAE, heat is the biggest threat to a fragrance’s integrity. Never leave a bottle in a parked car, on a sun-facing shelf, or near a window — even a few hours of direct heat can alter a composition permanently.
Ambient room temperature, away from direct sun, is all a MAQURE bottle needs to hold its character for years.
Shelf Life
Stored properly and left unopened, a MAQURE bottle holds its full character for 5+ years. Once opened, we recommend using it within 2–3 years for the truest expression of the composition.
Extrait de parfum concentrations like ours are more stable than lighter eau de toilette formulas, but no fragrance improves with age once exposed to air.
Application Tips
Apply to pulse points — wrists, neck, behind the ears — right after showering, when skin is clean and slightly warm. Avoid rubbing wrists together, which breaks down the top notes prematurely.
A light layer on clothing or hair can extend longevity, but always patch-test fabric first.
Travelling With Fragrance
When travelling, carry your bottle in hand luggage rather than checked baggage, where cargo holds can reach extreme temperatures. Keep it wrapped in clothing inside your bag, away from direct light.

Signs a Fragrance Has Turned
A fragrance that has degraded often smells sharper, more alcoholic, or noticeably flatter than when new. The liquid may also darken in colour.
If it doesn’t smell like itself anymore, it’s time to retire the bottle — no amount of storage care can reverse that stage.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
It's not necessary, and can introduce condensation when the bottle moves between temperatures. A cool, dark drawer at normal room temperature is all that's needed.
The outer box adds a useful extra layer of protection from light, so we recommend keeping your bottle boxed when not in daily use.
Yes, generally — it may simply smell a little softer or less vivid than when new. If it smells noticeably "off" rather than just faded, it's best retired.
